Basketball Ready for New Year

Both JCHS Varsity Basketball teams are sitting with 12 – 3 records as 2019 gets underway.  Both teams will be back in action on Friday as JC hosts Dutchtown in a big region matchup.  The girls game will get underway at 5:30 Friday night with the boys following.

Boys Win Two Thrillers

Jones County improved their record to 9-2 with two thrilling victories over the weekend.  Friday night they won 55-53 at Locust Grove and Saturday they beat Warner Robins 53-52.

Boys Basketball Beat Stockbridge

Jones County completed the sweep of Stockbridge last night by winning 63-43.  They will now go on the road Friday to play Locust Grove and then return home on Saturday for a game against Warner Robins at 5:30.

Boys Basketball Now 6-2

The JCHS Boys Basketball Team split a pair of games this weekend.  Friday night they fell in overtime to Eagles Landing 64-62 and then rebounded Saturday to beat Mary Persons 63-55.  They will be hosting Stockbridge Tuesday night at 7:30

Hounds Sweep Union Grove

Jones County swept Union Grove last night in their first region basketball contests.  The girls won by a score of 41 – 38 and then the boys finished them off by a score of 58-44.  The Hounds will have their home opener this Friday with a region game against Ola.  The Girls play at 7:00

Boys Basketball Sweeps

The JCHS Boys Basketball team swept their first two games of the season this past week with wins at Baldwin and at Monticello.  They will be back in action tomorrow at Union Grove and then will have their home opener Friday Night against Ola.

Region Tourneys Begin

The JCHS Lady Hounds will play Monday at 5:30 at Woodland HS in the first round of the Region 4AAAAA Basketball Tournament. The boys will play Tuesday at 5:30.

Saturday’s Basketball Games Moved Up

Saturday’s game times have been changed due to weather concerns.  JV Girls will now begin at 2:00 followed by the JV Boys at 3:30.  Varsity Girls will tip off at 5:00 followed by the boys at 6:30.  Please do not forget we are hosting Stockbridge on Friday Night

Jones County Sweeps Ola

Jones County swept Ola High School in a Region double-header Tuesday night with the Girls winning 48-34 and then the boys taking care of the Mustangs 83-53.  Jones County will be back in action Friday Night in Gray in another big region matchup against Stockbridge.  The Girls tip off at 7:00 followed by the boys
